Hot Sauce Review

 HeatFlavourRatingScore
Hog's Breath Red 1.0 4.0 5.5 3.97
A watery, mild sauce with little flavour and heat, best suited to burgers and fast food.

Hog's Breath Green 1.0 4.0 5.5 3.97
A green version of the Hog's Breath red sauce; this mild and watery sauce with a vinegary flavour is best suited to fast food.

La Costena 2.0 3.5 5.5 3.94
A slightly tangy but mild sauce which is well suited for Mexican dishes. This sauce is thick and clings to foods easily, and offers excellent flavor which easily propagates throughout the dish. Definately a must for Mexican lovers, this sauce goes particularly well with Burritos and Fajitas.

Original 'Louisiana' Hot Sauce 2.5 4.0 5.0 3.85
A classic, but best relegated to fast food restaurants. This thin and vinegary sauce packs little heat and a weak flavor, but is versatile and will compliment a variety of foods with ease. Goes well on burgers, fish and chips and pastas.

No Picture Thai Foods Garlic Chili Sauce 2.5 4.0 5.0 3.85
Remarkably tasty, this sauce goes well on fast food. It works better as a condiment as opposed to an ingredient, and it's bursting with flavor and just enough heat that most anyone will enjoy.

Mama Africa's Zulu Sauces Habanero 8.0 4.5 3.2 3.59
An exotic-looking sauce with an interesting flavor. Perhaps it was the beads and string tied around the neck of the bottle that first attracted me to it, but I found myself slightly disapointed in this selection. I found this sauce fairly thin and gritty in texture with a very earthy and almost bitter flavor. I can certaintly appreciate that this sauce may work well in some dishes, but honestly, the flavor wasn't what I was either expecting or wanted in a hot sauce. I suppose it would work in some dishes, but unfortunately, it didn't work for me.

Natural Value Organic Habanero Hot Sauce 9.0 3.5 3.2 3.43
I picked up this sauce in the heath food isle of the local supermarket. And while I initially had high hopes for this sauce, I found myself dissapointed. The sauce is medium-thin with a fairly weak flavor and is brutally hot. If you're not interested in using a hot sauce to flavor your food but rather just add some heat, then this stuff will do the trick. But so will powdered cayenne or habanero.

Molten Lava 3.0 1.0 1.0 1.06
A caustic attempt at a hot sauce that is truly just awful. This has to be among the most foul of substances ever placed in a bottle and marketed as a hot sauce.
